"WOW! So another one of our investigators has a baptism date!!! HORRAY! Her name is Jamie, and we taught her my first night in the mission!!! The mission is going really well. Its SO MUCH HARD WORK!
In the morning while I’m jogging next to my companion witnessing the beautiful sunrise over the Nevada Mountains I keep seeing planes fly over me, but, I won’t be on one for 17 more months! The members here are SUPER strong and SUPER nice! Also, some of them are SUPER rich!!!! So dinner appointments are fun! Not everyone is rich, and actually Nevada (LV) still suffers greatly from the depression we are having.
My comp was in the doctors office yesterday, and while she was in there I asked this beautiful Hispanic mother for some Spanish help (I am trying to learn Spanish better) low and behold she gave me her phone number and told me to come over for more help! Wow! So then I told her about missionaries and we just started talking even more (in English haha.) Now we are teaching her and her family this Thursday! Hooray!!!! Also, whipping out those snappy pass along cards is fun!! I truly know we are able to teach here, through my random desire to learn Spanish better, even though my mission is English speaking. All of the less actives, new investigators, and recent converts are really cool! I feel a deep connection with ALL of them, it’s so neat. I just know its why I’m here. For some reason, their personality just matches with mine vice versa! :)
I have to say, me and my companion drive a Mazda 3! Way fun! We live 6.4 miles from the strip!!!! HA HA Las Vegas has poverty, some places are full of sorrow, full of pain and drama. How could it not?? Look at this, sin city? Not everyone is bad, but it’s a challenge for everyone to live here. Either you are really strong in a religious faith, or more over, not. :(
I can feel the evil spirits battling against the righteous here. I know it. There is good fighting against evil, evil against good and good thing we know which side is going to win! God’s side! That’s why every door we knock on, every prayer we say, every once of trying to bring souls to Christ is worth it. Missionary work is the greatest work there is, period. It’s also the most re-warding! "Bringing souls to Christ" hum hallelujah! haha!!!
I hope you are all doing your personal duty and sharing your testimony with as many people as possible. It can be profound or a simple thing, just that you know God lives and that you know your friend has a Father in Heaven who knows and loves them. That’s the greatest news there is, and that’s what I share as missionary. Simply that no one is alone.
My area we cover is small.....and there are probably all 8 of our district elders within 10 minutes of us....so sometimes we run into them! My comp and I are really eating healthy! Green drinks for breakfast, salads for lunch...although the members always give you lots of food AND desert :( ha-ha the lord provides for our needs. We came home yesterday and there was a package of yummy fruits in a bag for us with a love note! yay! I know this mission isn’t about me, but really, last march, sitting on the strip, at the worlds largest photography competition...I was sitting in the window of the MGM looking across the strip and said "I hate Las Vegas, and I’m never coming back." HAHA The lord is funny.

There are SOO many beautiful people here....and my family ward is so nice and they LOVE my eNNNERRGYYYYyeyeyey! hehe! I have adopted a Las Vegas grandmother, grandfather , dad, mom , and siblings haha! We are eating dinner tonight at the Baron's and the dad called to see what time we should come over. I answered the phone with "hello this is sister Sprouse!" and he said " Hello, this is brother Baron, you adopted my wife?" haha!!! Sorry mother....the women here are taking good care of us.
Right now my comp and I are planning LOTS of activities to do with the ward to help them get motivated to do missionary work. Each month we have a theme and a challenge for them. Anyways, how much can I write in one email?
Be good, be strong, and know that God lives and protects you! I PROMISE He is there for you every step of this life's journey. He already gave you His SON! Humble yourselves daily and recognize all your blessings come from God, and that we owe are lives to Him, and Jesus Christ!
"Hola, Soy represantante de la inlgesia de jesucristo son las santos son las ultimate dias. estamos compartiendo un mesage acerca de Jesucristo acerca de como las familias pueden vivir por la eternindad. Le gustaria aprender mas acerca de este mensage?"
